MScEST students explore Paphos

MScEST students spent a full day exploring the UNESCO World Heritage city of Paphos and the surrounding region.

On Saturday, 2 May 2026, students of the MSc in Electronic Science and Technology took a day trip to Paphos, discovering more than 3,000 years of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine history. Stops along the way included:

đŸ›ī¸ Kourion Archaeological Site — the ancient Greco-Roman cliff-top city and its 2nd-century theatre overlooking the Mediterranean

🌊 Petra tou Romiou — the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite

đŸ–ŧī¸ Paphos Archaeological Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the remarkably preserved Roman mosaics of the Houses of Dionysos and Theseus

⚓ Pafos Limanaki — the medieval harbour, with free time for lunch at the waterfront tavernas beneath Paphos Castle
